20th Animation Working On New Animated Series, “Swap Meet”

20th Television Animation is working with Sony Pictures Television on a brand new half-hour animated comedy series called “Swap Meet”, which will be coming to Hulu.

“Swap Meet” follows down-on-his luck Ralph working with the Cortez’s – his aunt’s brash, proudly blue-collar Mexican American family that work different jobs at the Eastgate Swap Meet, a delightfully low-rent retail paradise with an infinite amount of goods and services.

Comedian Ralph Barbosa will be playing the lead role and will also be an executive producer. Ralph recently starred in Hulu’s comedy special, “Ralph Barbosa: Planet Bosa”.

According to Deadline ,the new animated series is being produced by Isaac Gonzalez, who is also writing the show. He has previously worked on “Bordertown” and “The Gordita Chronicles”. Also executive producing are Blake Griffin, Ryan Kalil, and Noah Weinstein from Mortal Media.

No other details on the upcoming animated series have been revealed, such as when it might get released on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ in the United States, but expect to see it also released on Disney+ around the world.

20th Television has had lots of success with animated comedy shows such as “The Simpsons”, “American Dad”, “Family Guy” and “Bob’s Burgers”. So adding new shows to the mix will continue to build on that success.
