20th Century Studios is developing a brand new comedy film called “Street Justice”, which will star and be produced by Will Ferrell.

This new film is based on an original idea by Dave Callaham and see Will Ferrell play a “Dirty Harry” type, who goes about taking justice into his own hands.

Will Ferrell has previously starred in the popular holiday film, “Elf”, along with “Quiz Lady”, “Step Brothers” and “Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy”.

Dave has previously worked as a writer on “Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings” and the Oscar-nominated “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse”.  According to Deadline, Dave apparently sold the script on spec for a large seven-figure deal and he will be an executive producer on the film.

Will Ferrell and Jessica Elbaum will be producing the film for Gloria Sanchez Productions, with David Koplan also producing.

It will be directed by Peter Atencio, who previously worked on the popular comedy series “Key & Peele”, as well as “Keanu” and the upcoming “Animal Friends”.

No release date details have been announced yet, nor confirmation if it will be getting a theatrical release or if it will go straight to Hulu and Disney+.
