Disney has announced that the thirteenth season of the National Geographic series, “Wicked Tuna”, will be coming to Disney+ and Hulu in the United States on Wednesday 19th June 2024.  The new season will also be released on Disney+ in Canada a week later, on June 26th 2024.

This series celebrates one of America’s oldest industries since first premiering in 2012 and made stars of the intrepid Gloucester commercial fishermen who brave the unrelenting North Atlantic waters to catch the elusive bluefin tuna.

From the start, Wicked Tuna set out to document the skill and coordination it takes to wrestle a giant bluefin tuna using the centuries-old method of rod-and-reel fishing. The gripping action and human perseverance have drawn millions of loyal viewers around the globe who tune in to watch the high drama and the banter between the captains and crew– sometimes playful, sometimes heated – as the Gloucester fishermen vie to outdo each other each and every week in the hopes of taking home the most lucrative catch and ending the season as the top-earning boat in the fleet.

The new episodes featured in the latest season include:

• The Herds Are Here – Gloucester’s bluefin season opens with big fish and more catches than ever.
• Early Season Monsters – The fleet is on the hunt for early season jumbos.
• We’re Not Quitters! – Tension mounts on Hard Merchandise as they struggle for their first fish.
• Maine or Bust! – The ladies on No Limits catch their first blue fin of the season.
• Last Chance for Chatham – The captains fish their favourite spots, from Chatham to Stellwagen.
• Even the Losers Get Lucky Sometimes – As the fleet gets off to a fishy start, two boats fight to make up ground.
• Dangerous Alliance – With the season half over, the fleet tries to catch up to Dave and Paul.
• To Get It Done, Two is Better Than One – Time Flies battles monsters while an unlikely pair form an alliance.
• Coming In Hot – Former champion Fat Tuna heats up the competition with two blue fin tuna.
• Three-Way Throwdown – Captain Tyler Mclaughlin faces setbacks, taking him off of the water.
• Triple Threat- Fat Tuna, Wicked Pissah and DotCom battle it out for the top spot.

These episodes have recently aired on the National Geographic channel.  The previous seasons are also available to stream now on Disney+, as well as some of the later seasons on Hulu.
