This year, the classic British sci-fi series “Doctor Who” returns for a brand new season, which see the Doctor explore new worlds, meet new allies and face deadly forces from beyond this universe.

In the new season, The Doctor (Ncuti Gatwa) and Belinda Chandra (Varada Sethu) head out on an epic quest to get Belinda back to Earth. But a mysterious force is stopping their return and the time-traveling TARDIS team must face great dangers, ferocious enemies and wilder terrors than ever before.

The series also features a large cast including Millie Gibson, Rylan, Alan Cumming, Anita Dobson, Bonnie Langford, Jemma Redgrave, Caoilfhionn Dunne, Christopher Chung, Evelyn Miller, Ariyon Bakare, Julie Dray and Jonah Hauer-King.

“Doctor Who” is produced by Bad Wolf with BBC Studios for the BBC and Disney Branded Television.  Russell T Davies is the showrunner, with Joel Collins, Phil Collinson, Julie Gardner and Jane Tranter working as executive producers.

The second season will consist of eight episodes, which will be released weekly.

Season Two launches with the first episode on Saturday, 12th April 2025, on BBC iPlayer and BBC One in the UK and Disney+ outside of the UK (where available).

Is “Doctor Who” on Netflix?

This series is made by BBC Studios exclusively for the BBC and Disney+, so it will not be available on Netflix, Max, or Amazon.
