This January, there will be plenty of great sports programming coming to ESPN+, including multiple sports including Football, Ice Hockey, Mixed Martial Arts, Basketball, Soccer, Golf, Tennis and much more.

With the expansion of ESPN On Disney+, this content will be available for bundled subscribers within Disney+.

Here are some of the highlights:


Tennis – Australian Open

  • Date: Jan. 11-26 – (Qualifying starts Jan. 5)

ESPN+ will stream all qualifying and main draw matches – more than 1,500 hours of tennis live from all 15 courts at Melbourne Park. This includes all singles and doubles matches – men’s, women’s, mixed, wheelchair, legends and juniors – , exclusive coverage of the Men’s, Women’s and Mixed Doubles Championships, and on-demand replays of completed matches. In addition to video-on-demand classic content, ESPN+ will debut three new ESPN Originals for the duration of the Australian Open titled: The Racket, Forza Jannik and Evolution AO24 Official Film.

Qualifying rounds stream exclusively on ESPN+ beginning on Sunday, Jan. 5 at 6 p.m. ET.


Football

The NCAA Division I FCS Championship will be played on Monday, Jan. 6, streaming live on ESPN+ from Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas. The NCAA Division II Championship will also stream on ESPN+ on Sunday, Jan. 5.

On Tuesday, Jan. 7, ESPN+ will exclusively stream Episode 3 of Inside the College Football Playoff, featuring an exclusive all-access, behind-the-scenes look of this year’s elite college football teams battle to claim the ultimate prize: a national championship. Episode 4 will be available on ESPN+ on January 15, and Episode 5 on January 24.

In Week 18, on Saturday, Jan. 4, ESPN+ will stream a Saturday doubleheader. Matchups will be announced at a later time.

On Monday, Jan. 13, at 8:15 p.m. ET, ESPN+ will present the NFL Super Wild Card Monday game. The Divisional playoff game will be available on ESPN+ on Saturday, Jan. 18 or Sunday, Jan. 19.

The Breakdown with Peyton and Belichick streams Fridays ahead of select MNF matchups, with the next episode on Friday, Jan. 10 ahead of the Wild Card on Tuesday, Jan.14.

They Call It Late Night with Jason Kelce will be available five consecutive Friday nights beginning Saturday, Jan. 4 and continuing throughout the NFL Playoffs.


Basketball – College

ESPN+ will stream more than 900 men’s and over 980 women’s college basketball games in January, including several Top 10 teams. Men’s matchups include No. 22 Cincinnati vs. Baylor (January 7), No. 3 Iowa State vs. Arizona State (January 8), No. 10 Kansas vs. No. 22 Cincinnati (January 11), Santa Clara vs. No. 8 Gonzaga and Dayton vs. Rhode Island (January 18) and No. 15 Houston vs. West Virginia (January 29).

Women’s games to look out for include No. 12 TCU vs. Texas Tech (January 11), Texas Tech vs. No. 18 Iowa State (January 14), Colorado vs. No. 15 West Virginia (January 15), Arizona vs. No. 13 Kansas State (January 16), Utah vs. No. 12 TCU (January 17) and No. 18 Iowa State vs. No. 13 Kansas State (January 30).


Basketball – NBA

  • In January, ESPN+ will stream all regular season games presented on ABC.
  • Date/Event: ​​January 25 | Nuggets at Timberwolves, Celtics at Mavericks, Lakers at Warriors.

Ice Hockey – NHL

NHL regular season continues in January with nine exclusive games, highlighted by the Maple Leafs vs. Islanders (January 1), the Panthers vs. the Devils (January 14) and the Hurricanes vs. Stars (January 21). All nine of these games will also be available to all Disney+ subscribers via the ESPN on Disney+ hub.

In addition to exclusive games on ESPN+/Hulu, 177 out-of-market games will be available through NHL Power Play on ESPN+ in December – included in all ESPN+ subscriptions – throughout the season.

NHL Power Play games include the choice of two separate live streams with either home team or away team commentary, as well as Canadian national presentations of Hockey Night in Canada, providing a local experience for fans no matter where they are in the U.S. Replays of every NHL regular season and playoff game on ABC, ESPN, NHL Network, and TNT are also made available to stream on NHL Power Play on ESPN+.


Golf – PGA Tour Live

Event/Date: Sentry Tournament of Champions, January 2-5

PGA TOUR LIVE on ESPN+ returns in January with featured groups and holes coverage with the Sentry Tournament of Champions at Kapalua Resort in Kapalua, Hawaii, from January 2-5.


TGL

  • Event/Date: New York Golf Club vs. The Bay Golf Club, January 7 at 9 p.m. ET
  • Event/Date: Los Angeles Golf Club vs. Jupiter Links Golf Club, January 14, 7 p.m. ET
  • Event/Date: New York Golf Club vs. Atlanta Drive GC, January 21, 7 p.m. ET
  • Event/Date: Jupiter Links Golf Club vs. Boston Common Golf, January 27, 6:30 p.m. ET

UFC

  • Date: Saturday, Jan. 18 (ESPN+ Pay-Per-View at 10 p.m. ET)

UFC 311 is headlined by lightweight defending champion Islam Makhachev and Arman Tsarukyan 2 in a battle for the title at Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California. The main card will stream on ESPN+ Pay-Per-View starting at 10 p.m. ET, with prelims streaming on ESPN+ at 8 p.m. and early prelims on ESPN+ at 6 p.m. UFC 311 Prelims will also be available to all Disney+ subscribers via the ESPN on Disney+ hub.

UFC Fight Night: Dern vs. Ribas 2 – Date: Jan. 11


Soccer – FA Cup, LaLiga and Bundesliga Returns

  • Must-watch marquee matchups in January on ESPN+ in English and Spanish include third-round FA Cup matches on January 9-12.
  • LALIGA kicks off the year 2024 on ESPN+ and ESPN Deportes with Valencia vs. Real Madrid (January 3 at 3 p.m. ET)
  • Bundesliga action also returns on Friday, Jan. 10, with all ten matches on ESPN+ including.
  • Goal Arena also returns at 9:20 a.m. ET, sharing whiparound coverage of Dortmund and Leverkusen and more.
  • Copa del Rey round of 32 will stream on ESPN+ January 4 and 5, followed by the Round of 16 on January 15.

ESPN+ will also stream Spanish Supercup semifinal matches between Real Madrid and Mallorca (January 8 at 2 p.m. ET) and Athletic Club and Barcelona (January 9 at 2 p.m. ET) in English and Spanish. The final will stream on ESPN+ on January 12 at 2 p.m. ET.
