Disney has announced some of the highlights of what’s coming to ESPN+ in April 2025, which will also be available to bundled subscribers on Disney+.

Standalone Disney+ subscribers will have access to a curated selection of live sports events, studio shows, and ESPN Films from ESPN+.

Here are some of the ESPN April highlights:


College Sports

College sports action continues in April with more than 3,000 college events streaming live on ESPN+, including spring football, the NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament (through April 6), the NCAA Men’s Hockey Frozen Four (Semifinals April 10, Championship April 12), the NCAA Bowling Championships (April 12), the NCAA Women’s Gymnastics Championship (Regionals April 2-6, Semifinals April 17, Championship April 19) and the NCAA Men’s Gymnastics Championship (April 18-19) and more.


UFC

UFC 314: Alexander Volkanovski vs. Diego Lopes – Date: April 12 (ESPN+ PPV at 10 p.m. ET)

UFC 314 sets the stage for clash between Australian Alexander Volkanovski and Brazilian Diego Lopes in the UFC featherweight title bout live from Kaseya Center in Miami. The main card will stream on ESPN+ Pay-Per-View starting at 10 p.m. ET, with prelims at 8 p.m. on ESPN, and early prelims at 6 p.m., both also available on Disney+.

  • UFC Fight Night: Hill vs. Rountree Jr. – Date: April 26
  • 2025 PFL First Round – Date: April 3, 11, 18
  • Top Rank Richard Torrez Jr. vs. Guido Vianello – Date: April 5

Soccer

  • April 1-2, German Cup Semifinals
  • April 1, Copa del Rey Semifinal (Leg 2): Real Madrid vs. Real Sociedad
  • April 2, Copa del Rey Semifinal (Leg 2): Atletico Madrid vs. FC Barcelona
  • April 12, Der Klassiker: FC Bayern vs. Dortmund
  • April 13, Women’s FA Cup Semifinals
  • April 26, FA Cup Semifinals

On April 1 and 2, ESPN+ will exclusively stream the Copa del Rey semifinals (Leg 2: Real Madrid vs. Real Sociedad, Atletico Madrid vs. FC Barcelona) on ESPN+ in English and Spanish as well as the German Cup Semifinals (Arminia Bielefeld vs. Bayer Leverkusen, VfB Stuttgart vs. RB Leipzig). Bundesliga’s Der Klassiker featuring FC Bayern vs. Dortmund (April12), the Women’s FA Cup Semifinals (April 13) and the Emirates FA Cup Semifinals on April 26 will stream live and exclusively on ESPN+ in English and Spanish.


Ice Hockey

NHL action on ESPN+ continues in April with four exclusive games highlighted by Tampa Bay Lightning at New York Islanders (April 1) and Edmonton Oilers at San Jose Sharks (April 3).
On April 10, ESPN+ will stream the Carolina Hurricanes at the Washington Capitals followed by the Anaheim Ducks at the Los Angeles Kings. The Washington Capitals, who currently sit atop the Eastern Conference standings, and Alex Ovechkin continue the ‘GR8 Chase’ for Wayne Gretzky’s all-time NHL goals record (894 goals).

All four games will also be available to all Disney+ subscribers via the ESPN on Disney+ hub.

NHL Quarter Century: Best Stanley Cup Moment will debut on April 1.

In addition to exclusive games on ESPN+/Hulu, out-of-market games will be available through NHL Power Play on ESPN+ in December – included in all ESPN+ subscriptions – throughout the season.

NHL Power Play games include the choice of two separate live streams with either home team or away team commentary, as well as Canadian national presentations of Hockey Night in Canada, providing a local experience for fans no matter where they are in the U.S. Replays of every NHL regular season and playoff game on ABC, ESPN, NHL Network, and TNT are also made available to stream on NHL Power Play on ESPN+


Golf

  • The 89th Masters Tournament on ESPN+ – Apr, 8-13

ESPN+ feeds from the Masters Tournament at Augusta National Golf Club begin on Tuesday, April 8, and continue through Sunday, April 13. Two-hour practice round programs on Tuesday at noon ET and Wednesday at 10 a.m. will include discussion and analysis, player press conference coverage and for the Wednesday show, players on the course in their practice rounds. On Wednesday, ESPN+ will stream live coverage of Masters Par 3 Contest noon – 3 p.m. Thursday to Sunday, ESPN+ will offer live streams of Featured Groups, Holes 4, 5 and 6, Amen Corner and Holes 15 and 16.

PGA TOUR LIVE on ESPN+

  • Valero Texas Open, April 3-6
  • RBC Heritage, April 17-20
  • Zurich Classic of New Orleans, April 24-27

PGA TOUR LIVE on ESPN+ continues its four-feed coverage in April with three tournaments, including the Valero Texas Open at TPC San Antonio’s AT&T Oaks Course in San Antonio, Tex., from April 3-6, the RBC Heritage at Harbour Town Golf Links at The Sea Pines Resort in Hilton Head Island from April 17-20, the Zurich Classic at TPC Louisiana in Avondale, La. from April 24-27. All events’ first-round main feeds on Thursday will also stream on Disney+ and Hulu for all subscribers. The complete schedule for the 2025 PGA TOUR LIVE on ESPN+ is available online.

LPGA on ESPN+

  • The Chevron Championship, April 24-27

Featured group coverage of The Chevron Championship – one of five major championships on the Ladies Professional Golf Association Tour – will stream live on ESPN+ from the Club at Carlton Woods in The Woodlands, Tex. beginning Thursday, April 24 through 27th .


Volleyball

  • April 10, LOVB Quarterfinals
  • April 11, LOVB Semifinals
  • April 13, LOVB Championship

LOVB culminates its inaugural season in Louisville, Ky., April 10-13 on ESPN+ with five matches, including both semifinals and the Championship.


Wrestling

ESPN+ will stream the ESPN Original Series, Stephanie’s Places, following WWE icon Stephanie McMahon as she explores the pockets of America that helped shape the journeys of some of the most famous names in WWE history. New episodes premiere on Wednesdays on ESPN+.

  • Episode 2: Cody Rhodes Takes Center Stage (April 2)
    Stephanie meets with “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes at the historic Center Stage Theater in Atlanta, the former home of the WCW. Cody shares his unique path to WWE stardom and what he envisions as his legacy.
  • Episode 3: Rhea Ripley’s Rise (April 9)
    Stephanie visits the WWE Performance Center in Orlando where she meets up with Rhea Ripley and the WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels to discuss how the next generation of stars are trained. Later, Rhea surprises Stephanie with a dramatic makeover to prepare for a wild entrance.
  • Episode 4: Stone Cold Rides Again (April 16)
    Stephanie spends a day with Steve Austin at Broken Skull Ranch to learn about how he became ‘Stone Cold’ and life after the WWE. The two end their day with Stephanie experiencing Steve’s newest adventure: off-road racing.
  • Episode 5: The Evolution of Charlotte Flair (April 23)
    Stephanie meets up with the “Queen”, Charlotte Flair at Nassau Coliseum to discuss the origins and evolution of women in the WWE, before they take a helicopter to MetLife to relive her epic WrestleMania 35 arrival.
  • Episode 6: Roman Reigns and The Bloodline (April 30)
    Stephanie hits the open waters of Miami on a yacht with Roman Reigns and “The Bloodline” to discuss the Anoa’i family’s wrestling legacy. Stephanie then enjoys some traditional Samoan cuisine alongside the family, including a unique delicacy.
