A pair of teenage basketball phenoms come of age on and off the court. The Mandalorian continues his quest while the New Republic makes the same mistakes as the Empire. And Jeremy Renner discusses his battle for survival with Diane Sawyer. Let’s take a look at what to watch this weekend on Disney+.

THE CROSSOVER

Based on the critically-acclaimed best-selling novel in-verse by Kwame Alexander, “The Crossover” introduces teen brothers Josh and Jordan Bell, widely considered basketball phenoms. Through his lyrical poetry, an adult version of Josh, aka Filthy McNasty, narrates the story of he and his brother’s coming of age, on and off the court, as their former professional basketball player father adjusts to life after basketball, and their mother finally pursues lifelong dreams of her own

THE MANDALORIAN

After the defeat of the Empire at the hands of Rebel forces, a lone bounty hunter operating in the Outer Rim, away from the dominion of the New Republic, goes on many surprising and risky adventures.

JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH

Diego is sent by his parents to a camp run by Pompilio Calderón. There, together with his siblings and friends, he finds the abandoned car of his grandmother Pola, and following her footsteps, he arrives to a mysterious portal leading to another dimension. When Diego discovers a powerful family secret, he understands he must protect the dimension he has found, but his mission is not that simple – Pompilio and his henchman Claudio will do everything in their power to destroy this fantastic world they have encountered.

JEREMY RENNER: THE DIANE SAWYER INTERVIEW – A STORY OF TERROR, SURVIVAL AND TRIUMPH

ABC News anchor Diane Sawyer has an exclusive interview with actor Jeremy Renner, the first since his life-threatening accident on New Year’s Day. Renner, who was run over by his 7-ton snowplow in an attempt to save his nephew’s life, was critically injured ― breaking more than 30 bones and puncturing a lung. He opens up about the harrowing details of his accident, the critical hours that followed and his time in the hospital and gives a behind-the-scenes look at his ongoing recovery. The special also features interviews with Renner’s family members, including the nephew he was trying to protect, and the first responders that saved his life.

ALICE IN WONDERLAND

And if you are in the mood for some legacy content, check out “Alice in Wonderland.” This 1951 Walt Disney Animation Studios film is the second film of Disney’s Silver Age of Animation. It follows Alice on her journey down the rabbit hole.

Those are some of my picks. What will you be watching this weekend?
