When Disney+ launches on November 12th in the US, there are some recent Star Wars movies that won’t be available on day one, this is due to an existing contract with Netflix, which effects movies released between 2016 and 2018.

Here is a rundown of what movies won’t be on Disney+ at launch and when they leave Netflix:

Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi December 26th, 2019
Solo: A Star Wars Story July 9th, 2020

Within a year of Disney+ launching, all the Star Wars movies will be on the new platform, as “Star Wars: Rise Of The Skywalker” will be not going to Netflix first.

Thankfully the wait until “The Last Jedi” won’t be too long until its on Disney+, but while it might be frustrating that they aren’t all available at launch, at least the situation is better than with the Marvel movies and shows.

Are you planning on a Star Wars marathon when Disney+ launches?
