What Have You Been Watching On Disney+ This Week?
May is coming to an end this weekend, but the lockdown continues for many of us, meaning we are spending much more time at home watching TV.
This week, I’ve been watching many different shows on Disney+, the main thing I’ve been working my way through is the fifth season of Marvel’s Agents of Shield, which are available on Disney+ in the UK. While season 7 has just begun on ABC in the US, my plan is to finish season 5 on Disney+ and now season 6 is available on Amazon Prime in the UK, to start working through that. Why does everything has to be so complicated with streaming rights? Other shows I’ve been watching include the latest episode of Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian, which I really enjoyed plus the new Simpson’s short, “The Longest Daycare”. Our biggest addiction this week has been Hulu’s Little Fires Everywhere, which we’ve plowed through the whole season in a week!
Other members of the team have been watching a variety of different things:
Jeremy – This week, I’ve been watching The Sherman Brothers documentary, “The Boys.” I love the music of “Mary Poppins” and “The Jungle Book.” They wrote some of the best music possible. On top of that, I’ve been watching Star Wars Rebels.
John – Well we have had the pleasure of having our 7 year old granddaughter Stella with us this weekend, so the movie lineup is Onward, Frozen, Frozen 2 dot-dot-dot repeat.
Christina – I started the week watching 1937’s “Lonesome Ghosts” which I had on a toy movie projector when I was a child. It brought back so many memories and I was really impressed at the great animation during these early years. It’s just over 8 minutes long and a fun watch. I also enjoyed Disney Gallery-The Mandalorian. There are some great insights into the creators of the series and so many impressive technological advances in filming. Get out the tissues if you’re going to watch “The Boys” The Story of the Sherman Brothers. If you didn’t already know, these men wrote the soundtrack to most of our lives. Their often rocky relationship though, is heartbreaking. Their very different lives are what made the perfect balance in all they wrote.
But that’s us, what about you? What have you been watching this past week? Let us know in the comments below:
