Today, Disney held a special panel for “The Orville” at this week’s San Diego Comic-Con, and during the panel, it was revealed that all three seasons of the show will be coming to Disney+ in the United States on Wednesday 10th August 2022.

Set 400 years in the future, “The Orville: New Horizons” finds the crew of the U.S.S. Orville continuing their mission of exploration, as they navigate both the mysteries of the universe and the complexities of their own interpersonal relationships.

The ensemble cast includes Seth MacFarlane, Adrianne Palicki, Penny Johnson Jerald, Scott Grimes, Peter Macon, J. Lee, Mark Jackson, Chad L. Coleman, Jessica Szohr and Anne Winters.

“The Orville: New Horizons” is produced by 20th Television and Fuzzy Door. The series was created and written by Seth MacFarlane. MacFarlane, Brannon Braga, David A. Goodman, Jon Cassar, Jason Clark and Howard Griffith serve as executive producers.

The third season is currently being released weekly on Hulu and on Disney+ in many countries, including the UK and Canada.

This move to Disney+ is good for a number of reasons, first off, it’s a fantastic series, and more people will have an opportunity to watch the show, which could help get the show secured for a fourth season, if enough people watch it on Disney+.  It also shows how Disney and Hulu are slowly crossing over with one another, with Disney+ offering more general entertainment content.

Are you looking forward to watching “The Orville” on Disney+?
