“The Man In My Basement” Trailer Released

Disney has released a trailer for its upcoming movie, “The Man In My Basement”, which will be coming to cinemas, Hulu and Disney+ later this Fall.

The film is set in the African American neighbourhood of Sag Harbor, Charles Blakey is out of work, out of luck and on the verge of foreclosure on his ancestral home. A knock on the door from a mysterious businessman, Anniston Bennet, brings a bizarre and lucrative proposition; rent his dusty stand-up basement out for the summer and receive enough money to clear his debts for good. Once Charles accepts, he finds himself led down a terrifying path that confronts his family’s ghosts and locks the men in a terrifying puzzle, at the heart of it race, the source of their traumas and the root of all evil.

This movie comes from Disney’s Andscape division and it stars Corey Hawkins, Willem Dafoe and Anna Diop. The movie has been directed by Nadia Latif.

It will be released in cinemas on September 12th 2025 and will be coming to Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ in the United States at a later date. No international Disney+ release details have been revealed yet.
