Disney has announced a brand new documentary about Marvel’s creator, Stan Lee, which will be coming to Disney+ on June 16th 2023, after a debut at the Tribeca Film Festival.

This brand new feature-length documentary will celebrate 100 years of Stan Lee. Tracing his life from his upbringing in New York as Stanley Lieber to the rise of Marvel Comics, Stan Lee tells the story of Stan Lee’s life, career, and legacy using his own words and personal archival material.

Disney has released a poster for the documentary, confirming the Disney+ release date.

The documentary has been directed by David Gelb and executive produced by Jason Sterman, David Gelb, Brian McGinn, Jeff Redmond, Andy Heyward, Gil Campion, Jamie McBriety, Sarah Regan, Lauren Goralski, and Andrew McAllister.

Late last year, Disney released a short teaser trailer for the documentary.
