‘The Goldbergs’ Renewed At ABC For 10th Season
For me, ABC has been knocking it out of the park for the better part of the last decade when it comes to Primetime Sitcoms. From ‘Fresh Off The Boat’, ‘black-ish’, ‘Modern Family’, to the recent critically praised show ‘Abbott Elementary’. One of the staples of ABC’s Primetime lineup has been ‘The Goldbergs’. And fans of the show will be happy to know it has been renewed for a 10th season!
Hot off of airing of its 200th episode, ‘The Goldbergs’ from series creator Adam F. Goldberg, now is a part of a very small group of television sitcoms to make it past the 9th season. It also happens to be the longest-running comedy series currently airing. As Deadline reported:
“The Goldbergs renewal comes as little surprise given that ABC in March inked a new deal with star/EP Wendi McLendon-Covey to continue on the series, as Deadline exclusively reported. Fellow original cast members Sean Giambrone, Troy Gentile, and Hayley Orrantia also have closed deals to return, Deadline has learned. They will continue to star alongside Sam Lerner, who was upped to series regular in Season 5.”
‘The Goldbergs’ has been a ratings superstar, as it is the most consistent in the ratings for the network. So this comes as no shock that the series has been renewed. Recently the show has gone through some substantial changes. Following the termination of Jeff Garlin in 2021 due to multiple misconduct reports, and the untimely death of actor George Segal, the series realigned and made Wendi McLendon-Covey the star of the sitcom.
You can watch the previous nine seasons of “The Goldbergs” right now on Hulu.
