“The Falcon And The Winter Soldier” Delayed
Last year, Disney announced a number of new Marvel Studios shows would be coming exclusively to Disney+, with “The Falcon and The Winter Soldier”, set to be the first show to arrive in August 2020. Yesterday, Disney released its August lineup and the show wasn’t included.
This shouldn’t be a huge surprise, since the Coronavirus has caused some major problems for the show. The shows production was put on hold while the team was filming in the Czech Republic and had to return home. There are still a few more weeks of filming to do, before the show is finished.
Sebastian Stan said on Instagram on March 11th.
“We are being sent home. Too soon. Prague, you’re gonna be in my thoughts for a long time.”
It’s not unknown for Disney to miss a few things of their monthly “Next On Disney+” release, keeping a few surprises back for subscribers. But fans shouldn’t get their hopes up for this, as ET has confirmed with Disney that the show won’t arrive in August.
Back at this years Super Bowl, Disney released a trailer showing off the first three Marvel shows, “WandaVision”, “Loki” and “The Falcon and The Winter Soldier”.
Following the events of “Avengers: Endgame,” Sam Wilson/Falcon (Anthony Mackie) and Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) team up in a global adventure that tests their abilities—and their patience—in Marvel Studios’ “The Falcon and The Winter Soldier.” The all-new series is directed by Kari Skogland; Malcolm Spellman is the head writer.
Disney hasn’t yet officially announced when “The Falcon and The Winter Soldier” will be arriving on Disney+. Hopefully it won’t be too long until we get an official announcement, as currently it is still being promoted on Marvel’s website as arriving in the Fall.
What do you think of the delay?
