Later this year, filming will begin next month in Atlanta on the next Marvel team-up movie, “Thunderbolts”, which will see many of the anti-hero characters from previous films and Disney+ shows come together as a team.  We’ve already seen in some of the post-credit scenes of Valentina Allegra de Fontaine putting together the team, which is going to be Marvel equivalent to DC’s “Suicide Squad”.

The cast includes Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, along with Sebastian Stan as Winter Soldier, David Harbour as Red Guardian, Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, Wyatt Russell as US Agent, Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost and Olga Kurylenko as Taskmaster.

Recently, it was revealed that Disney had shuffled its 2025 release schedule around and moved “Thunderbolts” forward to be released on May 2nd 2025, before heading to Disney+ later in the year.

“Thunderbolts” will be directed by Jake Schreier and THR has revealed that Marvel has hired Joanna Calo to work on the script of the film.  Joanna has previously worked as a writer and showrunner on the award-winning FX series, “The Bear”.    Joanna has also previously worked on “Hacks”, “Beef” and “Bojack Horseman”.
