Nielsen has announced its top 10 streaming charts for the week of 3rd May through to 9th May 2021 for the United States. There are three different charts, Top 10 Originals, Acquired Shows and Movies.

Disney+ had a new entry onto the original chart this week with the release of two episodes of “Star Wars: The Bad Batch”.  With the first episode being a feature-length episode, it would have accrued more minutes viewed, than we might see in future weeks.  Hulu’s “The Handmaid’s Tale” returned for a fourth season and debuted in second place.

While in the movies chart,  “Moana” continued to hold its place in the top 10 as one of the most popular films on Disney+.  Hulu’s “The Clovehitch Killer” also debuted on to the top 10 films.

As per usual, Netflix dominates the top 10 acquired series chart, Disney’s ABC and 20th studios create “Grey’s Anatomy”, “Criminal Minds”, “Bones” and “New Girl”.   All of which are on Disney+ internationally.
