With the entire first season of “Ahsoka” now available to stream on Disney+, Star Wars fans are now looking for their next fix, and it looks like fans won’t have to wait too much longer, as according to a listing on the U.S. Copyright site, “Skeleton Crew” is due to arrive on Disney+ in January 2024.

“Skeleton Crew” follows the journey of four kids who make a mysterious discovery on their seemingly safe home planet, then get lost in a strange and dangerous galaxy. Finding their way home—and meeting unlikely allies and enemies—will be a greater adventure than they ever imagined.

This new series stars Jude Law, along with Ravi Cabot-Conyers, Kyriana Kratter, Robert Timothy Smith, Tunde Adebimpe and Kerry Condon. Jon Watts and Christopher Ford are the showrunners and executive producers, along with Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, Kathleen Kennedy and Colin Wilson. Chris Buongiomo, Gilchrist and Carrie Beck also serves as co-executive producers. John Bartnicki and Susan McNamara are producers. Directors include Watts, David Lowery, the Daniels (Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert), Jake Schreier, Bryce Dallas Howard and Lee Isaac Chung.

Originally, the show was scheduled to arrive on Disney+ in 2023, and even at this year’s Star Wars Celebration event, where a teaser trailer was revealed to those in attendance, the show was announced to be hitting our screens later this year, but, while there have been reports that it was delayed until 2024, now we know thanks to the listing on the US copywriter site.

Disney has been on a cost-cutting exercise, and one way it is planning on doing this is by spreading out its content and releasing less, also, with the added issues with the actors and writers strikes. And it’s become very apparent that Disney has pushed the Star Wars brand too much with too many shows in a short period, which has caused some franchise fatigue. So sliding “Skeleton Crew” into early 2024, it will help reduce costs but also give fans a break between shows.

While no Disney+ release date has been officially confirmed for”Skeleton Crew”, it’s likely we will find out soon.
