During the closing ceremony at the Star Wars Celebration event, which took place in Tokyo, Japan, this weekend, Disney officially announced that the event would be returning to the United States in two years’ time.

Star Wars Celebration will be returning to California after five years, following the event taking place in London, England, in 2023 and Japan this weekend.

The event will be held at the Los Angeles Convention Center from April 1st through the 4th in 2027, marking the first time Star Wars Celebration has been held in Los Angeles since 2006, as it has previously been held in Anaheim, just across the street from Disneyland.

Star Wars Celebration will celebrate the 50th anniversary of “Star Wars: A New Hope”, so we can expect to see plenty of stars from the original film in attendance, especially since it’s taking place near Hollywood.

No doubt, the show will also feature plenty of promotion for the upcoming release of the new movie, “Star Wars: Starfighter”, that was announced this weekend, which will be directed by Shawn Levy and will star Ryan Gosling, since it will be released just over a month later.

Roger’s Take:  Star Wars Celebration is always a great place to learn more about the latest Star Wars films and shows, plus for fans, a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the franchise.  After being away from the United States for many years, no doubt, this will be a massive pull for Star Wars fans from around the world
