Earlier this week, filming on the upcoming Searchlight Pictures film, “Is This Thing On?”, which is being directed by Bradley Cooper, wrapped up.

The upcoming film tells the story of Alex and Tess, who, after many years together, have reached an amicable end to their marriage, thus beginning the awkward stage of figuring out how to live separately while raising two boys and maintaining their friendships. Alex discovers a new hobby and, in the process, learns more about himself and his relationship.

The movie stars Will Arnett, Laura Dern, Andra Day, Sean Hayes and Bradley. Also starring in the film will be Amy Sedaris, Chloe Radcliffe, Scott Icenogle, Jordan Jensen, Peyton Manning and Reggie Conquest. Other cast members include James Tom, Gabe Fazio, Christine Ebersole, Ciarán Hinds, Blake Kane, Calvin Knegten, Derek Gaines and Matt Richards.

“Is This Thing On?” has been written by Bradley Cooper and Will Arnett, along with Mark Chappell, who previously worked on Searchlight’s “See How They Run”. Weston Middleton, under their Lea Pictures banner, is producing along with Kris Thykier (“Miss Sloane,” “Kick-Ass”). Bradley and Arnett are also producers on the project.

Searchlight Pictures is looking for a Fall theatrical release for the film, so it won’t likely be released on Hulu and Disney+ until late in the year or early next year.
