This coming July, Disney+ subscribers around the world are going to be getting plenty of new Star Original shows to enjoy, including the return of “Futurama” and “The Bear”, which are also released on Hulu in the United States and on Star+ in Latin America.

Here are some of the Star Originals heading to the streaming service in July 2023:

Futurama – New Season

The series follows Philip J. Fry (Billy West), a New York City pizza delivery boy, who accidentally freezes himself in 1999 and gets defrosted in the year 3000. In this astonishing New New York, he befriends hard-drinking robot Bender (John DiMaggio), and falls in love with cyclops Leela (Katey Sagal). The trio find work at the Planet Express Delivery Company, founded by Fry’s doddering descendant, Professor Hubert Farnsworth. Together with accountant Hermes Conrad, assistant Amy Wong, and alien lobster Dr. John Zoidberg, they embark on thrilling adventures that take them to every corner of the universe.

This all-new series debuts on Disney+ around the world on Monday, 24th July 2023


The Bear – Season 2

Season two follows Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto (Jeremy Allen White), Sydney Adamu (Ayo Edebiri) and Richard “Richie” Jerimovich (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) as they work to transform their grimy sandwich joint into a next-level spot. As they strip the restaurant down to its bones, the crew undertakes transformational journeys of their own, each forced to confront the past and reckon with who they want to be in the future.

The second season of “The Bear” arrives on Disney+ in many countries, including the UK, Canada and Australia on Wednesday, 19th July 2023.


Drag Me To Dinner

If you want a great party, hire a party planner. If you want an outrageous, unforgettable party … call in a Drag Queen. Drag Me to Dinner is the new close-ended comedic competition that, unlike other Drag competitions, doesn’t take itself too seriously. In each hour-long episode, two new pairs of Queens go wig-to-wig in themed culinary and design challenges, attempting to throw the most fabulous dinner party yet.

This new series is arriving on Disney+ in many countries, including the UK and Canada on Wednesday, 26th July 2023


Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War: Season 2

Was it all just a coincidence, or was it inevitable? Ichigo Kurosaki gained the powers of a Soul Reaper through a chance encounter. As a Substitute Soul Reaper, Ichigo became caught in the turmoil of the Soul Society, a place where deceased souls gather. But with help from his friends, Ichigo overcame every challenge to become even stronger.

When new Soul Reapers and a new enemy appear in his hometown of Karakura, Ichigo jumps back into the battlefield with his Zanpakuto to help those in need. Meanwhile, the Soul Society is observing a sudden surge in the number of Hollows being destroyed in the World of the Living. They also receive separate reports of residents in the Rukon District having gone missing. Finally, the Seireitei, home of the Soul Reapers, comes under attack by a group calling themselves the Wandenreich. Led by Yhwach, the father of all Quincies, the Wandenreich declare war against the Soul Reapers with the following message: “Five days from now, the Soul Society will be annihilated by the Wandenreich.”

The history and truth kept hidden by the Soul Reapers for a thousand long years is finally brought to light. All things must come to an end—as Ichigo Kurosaki’s final battle begins!

New episodes are being released weekly from July 8th 2023.


The Jewel Thief

The Jewel Thief is the unbelievable first-hand account of Gerald Blanchard, one of the most creative, calculating and accomplished criminal masterminds in modern history. With savant-like skill and a peculiar pride, Blanchard’s decades-long crime spree ranged from shoplifting to bank robbery to the theft of a royal crown jewel. Told through the first-hand account of Blanchard himself and the unlikely Winnipeg detectives who tracked him across the globe, the film presents an offbeat, rollicking journey through a series of increasingly elaborate heists as Blanchard seeks fame and notoriety through a life of crime.

This new documentary is coming to Disney+ in Canada on July 13th.


The Clearing

When a local girl goes missing, it triggers a woman’s memories from her childhood as a member of The Kindred – one of the few female led cults in history. Based on the crime thriller by J.P. Pomare, this exclusive original series follows the nightmares of a cult survivor who’s forced to face the demons from her past in order to stop the kidnapping and coercion of innocent children in the future. “The Clearing” is an emotional and psychological thriller that burrows under the skin and inside the mind, blurring the lines between past and present, reality and nightmare.

The final episode of this Australia original drama series will arrive on Disney+ on Wednesday 5th July 2023.


How I Met Your Father – Season 2 – New Episodes

In the near future, Sophie is telling her son the story of how she met his father: a story that catapults us back to the present where Sophie and her close-knit group of friends are in the midst of figuring out who they are, what they want out of life, and how to fall in love in the age of dating apps and limitless options.

The remaining episodes of the second season will arrive on Disney+ in the UK on Wednesday, 26th July 2023, with new episodes also being released on Tuesdays in Canada.


The Ashley Madison Affair

“The Ashley Madison Affair,” a three-part, explosive docu-series exploring the unbelievable rise and fall of the scandalous and notorious dating platform Ashley Madison. As internet dating began to take off in the early 2000s, one dating site catering to extramarital affairs violated all conventions. This series explores the shameless marketing tactics that not only caught the attention of its intended audience but also a group of hackers known as The Impact Team. The docu-series tells the story of the hackers’ unmet demand, a data breach, and the catastrophic fallout. Upon the exposé-style demise of Ashley Madison, the public soon discovered that perhaps the site’s unfaithful users were not the only ones with a secret.

This new documentary arrives on Disney+ on July 7th 2023.


Synduality Noir: Season 1

In 2242, machines are man’s best friend and a xenomorphic evil, our worst enemy.

New episodes of this anime will be released on Disney+ in many countries including Australia and New Zealand from July 10th 2023.


The Kardashians – Season 3

The cameras return as Kris, Kourtney, Kim, Khloé, Kendall and Kylie invite viewers back into their lives as they navigate motherhood, coparenting, and building their own empires. Their bond will be tested and tensions arise, but as a family they will stand together through the storm.

New episodes are being released on Disney+ internationally every Thursday throughout July


The Company You Keep

A night of passion leads to love between con man Charlie and undercover CIA officer Emma, who are unknowingly on a collision course professionally. While Charlie ramps up the family business with sights set on getting out for good, Emma works to close in on the vengeful criminal who holds Charlie’s family debts in hand — forcing them to reckon with the lies they’ve told so they can save themselves and their families from disastrous consequences. The series is based on the Korean Broadcasting System series entitled “My Fellow Citizens.”

This new series is arriving on Disney+ in the UK and Ireland on Wednesday, 12th July 2023


Justified: City Primeval

Having left the hollers of Kentucky 15 years ago, Raylan Givens now lives in Miami, a walking anachronism balancing his life as a U.S. Marshal and part-time father of a 15-year-old girl. His hair is grayer, his hat is dirtier, and the road in front of him is suddenly a lot shorter than the road behind. A chance encounter on a desolate Florida highway sends him to Detroit. There he crosses paths with Clement Mansell, aka The Oklahoma Wildman, a violent, sociopathic desperado who’s already slipped through the fingers of Detroit’s finest once and aims to do so again. Mansell’s lawyer, formidable Motor City native Carolyn Wilder, has every intention of representing her client, even as she finds herself caught in between cop and criminal, with her own game afoot as well. These three characters set out on a collision course in classic Elmore Leonard fashion, to see who makes it out of the City Primeval alive.

This new series arrives on Disney+ in Australia and New Zealand from July 19th 2023.


Imagine Dragons Live In Vegas

Far from the days of playing in dive bars and casinos across the Las Vegas Strip, Imagine Dragons returns home to perform at the city’s largest stage, Allegiant Stadium, in a triumphant concert film that showcases the band’s rise to fame and the city that helped shape their sound.

This new original is coming to Disney+ on 30th July 2023.
