There are lots of great new Star Originals coming to Disney+ in April including new episodes of “The Kardashians”, “Queens”, “The Dropout” and a brand new film, “Sex Appeal”.

Unlike Disney+ Originals, the availability of Star Originals can vary between countries due to pre-existing streaming contracts. These are also usually available on Hulu in the United States and on Star+ in Latin America.

Here’s a look at some of the “Star Originals” coming in April:

The Kardashians

The family you know and love is here with a brand new series, giving an all access pass into their lives. Kris, Kourtney, Kim, Khloé, Kendall and Kylie bring the cameras back to reveal the truth behind the headlines. From the intense pressures of running billion-dollar businesses to the hilarious joys of playtime and school drop-offs, this series brings viewers into the fold with a rivetingly honest story of love & life in the spotlight.

New episodes are being released on Disney+ every week from Thursday 14th April 2022

How I Met Your Father (Canada/Australia/New Zealand)

In the near future, Sophie (Hilary Duff) is telling her son the story of how she met his father: a story that catapults us back to the year 2021 where Sophie and her close-knit group of friends are in the midst of figuring out who they are, what they want out of life, and how to fall in love in the age of dating apps and limitless options.

New episodes are being released on Wednesdays in April

Single Drunk Female (Canada/UK/Ireland)

After a public flame-out at a New York media company, 20-something alcoholic Samantha Fink is forced to seize the only chance she has to sober up and avoid jail time: moving back home with her overbearing mother, Carol. Back in Greater Boston, Samantha restarts her life, working at the local grocery store while surrounded by all of the triggers that made her drink in the first place. Confronted with remnants of her old life, including run-ins with her perfect former best friend, who is now dating her ex, Samantha sets out on a path to move past her worst self and figure out her best self. Kinda.

“Single Drunk Female” is coming to Disney+ in the UK & Ireland on April 6th and in Canada on April 13th.

Sex Appeal (UK/Ireland)

A teen tests her sex appeal on her oldest friend when her long-distance boyfriend wants to take their relationship to the next level.

“Sex Appeal” is coming to Disney+ on Friday 8th April 2022

Dollface – Season 2 (UK/Ireland)

Season Two follows Jules (Kat Dennings) and her best friends– post pandemic, post heartbreak, heading toward turning thirty. Having successfully reunited with her friends (Brenda Song, Shay Mitchell, and Esther Povitsky), Jules must now balance keeping their group together as the women navigate work, love, and a deeper relationship with each of themselves.

The second season of “Dollface” is coming to Disney+ in the UK and Ireland on Wednesday 27th April 2022

Queens – (UK/Ireland)

Four women in their 40s reunite for a chance to recapture their fame and regain the swagger they had as legends in the 1990s hip-hop world.

The Dropout

Money. Romance. Tragedy. Deception. From Executive Producer Elizabeth Meriwether, “The Dropout” is the story of Elizabeth Holmes (Amanda Seyfried) and Theranos, an unbelievable tale of ambition and fame gone terribly wrong. How did the world’s youngest self-made female billionaire lose it all in the blink of an eye?

The last episode of “The Dropout” is coming to Disney+ in early April.

Life & Beth – Season 1 (Australia/New Zealand/Canada)

After a sudden incident, Beth, a seemingly successful woman with a long term relationship and steady career, takes a look back at her past to see who she wants to become.

The last three episodes are coming to Disney+ in early April.

The Ignorant Angels S1

This romantic drama has been inspired by the Italian box office hit and cultural sensation Le Fate Ignoranti, “The Ignorant Angels” is a Star Original series from Turkish-Italian director Ferzan Ozpetek. When Antonia’s husband Massimo is killed in a car accident, she discovers that he has been having a same-sex affair with a man named Michele. She’s devastated at the news, but the straight-laced Antonia finds herself building an unexpected and moving friendship with Michele and his circle of misfit eccentrics.

This Star Original series is coming to Disney+ on Wednesday 13th April 2022

Crush (Canada)

When an aspiring young artist is forced to join her high school track team, she uses it as an opportunity to pursue the girl she’s been harboring a long-time crush on. But she soon finds herself falling for an unexpected teammate and discovers what real love feels like.

“Crush” is coming to Disney+ in Canada on Friday 29th April 2022

Books of Blood (Canada)

A journey into uncharted territory through three tales tangled in space and time.

“Books Of Blood” is coming to Disney+ in Canada on April 1st.
