Disney has revealed some brand-new details on the return of the nineteenth season of “Grey’s Anatomy”, which will see one chapter closing, and a new one opening. Grey Sloan Memorial celebrates Meredith Grey as she says farewell to Seattle, when “Grey’s Anatomy” returns Thursday, 23rd February at 9/8c on ABC, with episodes being released on Hulu the following day.

In the episode, entitled “I’ll Follow the Sun,” it’s Meredith’s last day at Grey Sloan Memorial and the doctors plan a goodbye surprise, while Nick confronts her about the future of their relationship. Elsewhere, the interns compete to scrub in on Maggie and Winston’s groundbreaking partial heart transplant procedure, and Richard asks Teddy an important question. “I’ll Follow the Sun” is written by Krista Vernoff and directed by Debbie Allen.

The latest season of “Grey’s Anatomy” is also being released exclusively on Disney+ in many countries, including the United Kingdom and Australia.   No international Disney+ return date date has yet been announced, but episodes have previously been available a week or so after they’ve aired in the United States.  The previous seasons of “Grey’s Anatomy” are also available to stream on Disney+ in many countries around the world.
