“Shogun” & “X-Men ’97” Win At The Critics Choice Awards

The 30th annual Critics Choice Awards took place on Friday evening at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica and Disney picked up a number of awards for its shows, “X-Men ’97” and “Shogun”, along with it’s movies, “Deadpool & Wolverine” and “A Real Pain”.

The ceremony aired on E! and was initially scheduled to take place last month, but was delayed twice due to the Los Angeles wildfires.

In the movie categories, Disney picked up a double award for Best Comedy, with “Deadpool & Wolverine” and “A Real Pain” tied for the award.   Kieran Culkin also won the award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in the Searchlight Pictures movie.

In the TV categories, “Shogun” was a big winner, picking up six different awards, including Best Drama Series and multiple Best Actor awards.  The animated Disney+ series, “X-Men ’97” also won the Best Animated Series award.
