Today, Disney has released the new Searchlight Pictures film, “A Real Pain”, on digital retailers, including Prime Video, Apple TV, and Fandango at Home in the United States.

The film tells the story of two mismatched cousins, David and Benji, who reunite for a tour through Poland to honour their beloved grandmother. The adventure takes a turn when the pair’s old tensions resurface against the backdrop of their family history.

“A Real Pain” has been nominated for 4 Golden Globe Awards® including Best Picture, Best Actor Jesse Eisenberg, Best Supporting Actor Kieran Culkin and Best Screenplay. The film won the Waldo Salt Screenwriting Award at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year.

The digital release includes a bonus feature documentary called “Beautiful Fate: Making A Real Pain”, which takes viewers on a tour through the heart and history of Poland while going behind the scenes of A Real Pain. Explore the themes of family and connection with Jesse Eisenberg and Kieran Culkin. Experience all the humor and humanity that brought this story to life.

For those movie fans who want to add this film to their physical collection, “A Real Pain” will be released on Blu-Ray on February 4th 2025.

No streaming release date for Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ has been announced yet, but usually a streaming release is roughly around the date of a physical release.

Due to a stretched out international theatrical release, the movie doesn’t come out in some countries like the UK until next week, so expect the digital and streaming release dates to be delayed internationally.
