Disney has released a new teaser trailer for its upcoming documentary series, “Scam Goddess”, which is presented by podcaster and comedian Laci Mosley, who knows her way around a scam. Now, she’s taking her expertise on the road, uncovering small-town swindles and big-city cons across the U.S. From Ponzi schemes to religious scammers to fake royalty, Laci meets whistleblowers, victims and even the scammers themselves, tracking down the culprits with her signature wit, leaving no stone — or scam — unturned.

“Scam Goddess” is produced by ABC News Studios in association with The Intellectual Property Corporation (IPC), a part of Sony Pictures Television. ABC News Studios’ Carrie Cook is the executive producer, and David Sloan is the senior executive producer. Eli Holzman and Aaron Saidman of IPC, along with John Henshaw, serve as executive producers. The show is hosted by Laci Mosley.

Check out the teaser trailer below:

The three-episode series includes:

  • The Horseplay Heist – Scam Goddess Laci Mosley digs into the story of Rita Crundwell, who stole $53 million from her town. Learning Rita used the money to fund her lavish equestrian lifestyle, Laci meets the whistleblower who finally reined in Rita’s wild ride.
  • The Sideline Scammer – Scam Goddess Laci Mosley journeys to Miami to unravel a con targeting big names in sports. Financial advisor Peggy Fulford promised athletes like Dennis Rodman generational wealth but drained their accounts to fund her lavish lifestyle.
  • The Gig City Grift – Scam Goddess Laci Mosley is in Opelika, Alabama, to confront scammer Kyle Sandler, who portrayed himself as a tech guru who could make Silicon Valley dreams come true but left his clients with nothing but error 404s. Will Kyle admit the truth?

This new series will premiere with the first episode on January 15th on the Freeform linear channel, and it will be available to stream the next day on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+, with another episode dropping each week throughout January.   No international release details for Disney+ have been announced.
