With the start of a brand new year, Disney is making sure it kicks off 2025 with a bang, with plenty of new original shows heading to Disney+ and Hulu in January, including the return of “Goosebumps” and a new animated series from Marvel.

The biggest new releases coming to Disney+ around the world in January include:

Goosebumps: The Vanishing

This new original series begins when twins Cece and Devin Brewer are sent to spend a summer in Gravesend, Brooklyn, with their divorced dad. A threat is stirring, and they quickly realize that dark secrets are among them, triggering a chain of events that unravel a profound mystery. As they delve into the unknown, Cece, Devin and their friends — Alex, CJ and Frankie — find themselves entangled in the chilling tale of four teenagers who mysteriously vanished in 1994.

The entire series will premiere on Disney+ on Friday, 10th January 2025

A Real Bug’s Life – Season 2

This season, get ready for more high-stakes battles, enchanting love stories and mind-blowing superpowers (yes, bugs with superpowers!) in a season packed with some of the most extraordinary tiny characters you’ll ever meet. Bonus: Viewers will also get a special, behind-the-scenes look at the filming of this epic series spanning two seasons featuring 130 bug species across six continents with 450 experts and crew.

The second season will arrive on Disney+ on Wednesday 15th January 2025.

Star Wars: Skeleton Crew

“Skeleton Crew” follows the journey of four kids who make a mysterious discovery on their seemingly safe home planet, then get lost in a strange and dangerous galaxy, crossing paths with the likes of Jod Na Nawood, the mysterious character played by Law. Finding their way home—and meeting unlikely allies and enemies—will be a greater adventure than they ever imagined.

The last two episodes of this new Star Wars series will be released on Tuesday evenings in early January.

Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man

The animated series follows Peter Parker on his way to becoming Spider-Man in the MCU, with a journey unlike we’ve ever seen and a style that celebrates the character’s early comic book roots.

The first two episodes will be released on Disney+ on Wednesday, 29th January 2025.

There are also plenty of new originals being released on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ in the United States and on Disney+ around the world, including:

Paradise

“Paradise” is set in a serene community inhabited by some of the world’s most prominent individuals. But this tranquillity explodes when a shocking murder occurs, and a high-stakes investigation unfolds.

This new original series will premiere with the first three episodes on Tuesday, 28th January 2025.

Unmasked

This series follows Trigger, a team of top-notch investigative journalists responsible for breaking some of the most contentious stories in the nation. After broadcasting an especially controversial story, the team finds their careers in hot water.

This new Korean original series will premiere on Wednesday 15th January 2025.

Whiskey on the Rocks

In the early hours of October 28, 1981, a Soviet nuclear Whiskey class submarine was spotted aground inside a restricted Swedish military area. The world teetered on the brink of disaster. With global superpowers on edge, the eyes of the world turned to Sweden’s calm and collected prime minister, Thorbjörn Fälldin, a former sheep farmer, who faced the immense challenge of keeping peace between Soviet leader Leonid Brezhnev and U.S. President Ronald Reagan.

This all-new European original series will be released on Wednesday, 22nd January 2025.

Shared Custody

In Shared Custody, parents Cris and Diego have just separated by mutual agreement. Their intention is to be mature, responsible and friendly adults for the sake of their five-year-old daughter, but neither of them can afford to live alone and take care of her. Cris’ work is very absorbing and Diego does not have a fixed salary, so both are forced to move back to their respective parents’ houses. The grandparents are excited that their children and granddaughter are back in their lives, but things deteriorate rapidly. What began as an amicable separation soon takes a turn when they run into harsh reality.

This European original series will premiere on Friday, 24th January 2025.

Medalist

“Medalist” tells the story of figure skating coach Tsukasa, who is a man haunted by his past failures, works tirelessly to mould his latest student into a championship medalist.

This new Japanese anime original series will premiere on Saturday, 4th January 2025
