20th Century Studios is currently in production on a brand new film called ‘Ella McCay’, which is about an idealistic young politician who juggles familial issues and a challenging work life while preparing to take over the job of her mentor, the state’s longtime incumbent governor.

Deadline has announced that Rebecca Hall has joined the cast, which also includes Emma Mackey, Jamie Lee Curtis, Woody Harrelson, Ayo Edebiri, Albert Brooks, Kumail Nanjiani, Jack Lowden and Spike Fearn.

Rebecca Hall has previously starred in “Iron Man 3” and “The Night House”. She is also going to star in the upcoming film, “Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire”.

“Ella McCay” is going to be directed by James L.Brooks, who will be producing along with his producing partners Julie Ansell and Richard Sakai, who will produce through their Gracie Films banner. Seth Meier will executive produce.

No release details have yet been announced on when “Ella McCay” will be released and it’s likely to get a theatrical release first, before it arrives on Hulu and Disney+.
