The upcoming 20th Century Studios film, “Prey”, is going to get its world premiere at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con.

Collider and Hulu will be hosting this premiere, which takes place on Thursday 21st July 2022 at 8:30 pm in an unannounced location in San Diego. Following the screening of the film, there will be a Q&A with Amber Midthunder (“Naru”), Dakota Beavers (“Taabe”), Dane DiLiegro (“The Predator”), producer Jhane Myers, and director Dan Trachtenberg.

“Prey” is the newest entry in the “Predator” franchise, set in the Comanche Nation 300 years ago, “Prey” is the story of a young woman, Naru, a fierce and highly skilled warrior. She has been raised in the shadow of some of the most legendary hunters who roam the Great Plains, so when danger threatens her camp, she sets out to protect her people. The prey she stalks, and ultimately confronts, turns out to be a highly evolved alien predator with a technically advanced arsenal, resulting in a vicious and terrifying showdown between the two adversaries.

This premiere is going to be open to anyone to attend and there will be shuttles from a location within the Gaslamp District, to take guests to and from the premiere. It won’t require guests to have an SDCC ticket.

You can apply for a free ticket to the screening by emailing thecollidermailbox@gmail.com with the subject line “I Want to See Prey at Comic-Con.” In the body of the email, you need to include your name and if you’d like to bring a guest. Since so many people are going to ask for tickets, you might want to also include a few sentences on why you should be one of the winners.

“Prey” is directed by Dan Trachtenberg, written by Patrick Aison (“Jack Ryan,” “Treadstone”), and produced by John Davis (“Jungle Cruise,” “The Predator”), Jhane Myers (“Monsters of God”), and Marty Ewing (“It: Chapter Two”), with Lawrence Gordon (“Watchmen”), Ben Rosenblatt (“Snowpiercer”), James E. Thomas, John C. Thomas and Marc Toberoff (“Fantasy Island”) serving as executive producers.

The filmmakers were committed to creating a film that provides an accurate portrayal of the Comanche and brings a level of authenticity that rings true to its Indigenous peoples. As a result, the film features a Native Comanche producer (Myers), and a cast comprised almost entirely of Native and First Nation’s talent, including Amber Midthunder (“The Ice Road,” “Roswell, New Mexico”), newcomer Dakota Beavers, Stormee Kipp (“Sooyii”), Michelle Thrush (“The Journey Home”) and Julian Black Antelope (“Tribal”). The movie also stars Dane DiLiegro (“American Horror Stories”) as the Predator.

“Prey” is coming to Hulu in the United States, on Star+ in Latin America and on Disney+ internationally on August 5th 2022
