Pixar’s “Hoppers” Disney+ Release Date Revealed
Earlier this year, Disney released Pixar’s latest animated film, “Hoppers” in cinemas around the world and for those wanting to watch the movie at home on Disney+, the good news is subscribers won’t have to wait too much longer.
In this animated comedy adventure, animal lover Mabel seizes an opportunity to use a new technology to “hop” her consciousness into a lifelike robotic beaver and communicate directly with animals. As she makes amazing discoveries, Mabel befriends a charismatic beaver and must rally the entire animal kingdom to face a major, imminent, human threat.
“Hoppers” is directed by Daniel Chong and produced by Nicole Paradis Grindle, p.g.a., with an original score by Mark Mothersbaugh and a screenplay by Jesse Andrews.
Disney has confirmed that the film will be heading to Disney+ around the world on June 3rd 2026, just one day after the film is released on DVD and Blu-Ray, and just under 90 days after its initial theatrical release.
Roger’s Take: With the upcoming theatrical release of “Toy Story 5” in the middle of June, I had two theories about the Disney+ release, either Disney were going to drop it just before “Toy Story 5” hits cinemas (which they are doing), or wait until it’s been in cinemas for a while.
I recently watched “Hoppers” following its digital release, and while the movie has a strong positive message about protecting wildlife, I do think it is one of Pixar’s weaker films, often feeling like it’s aimed at a younger audience than usual. However, it’s a great movie to pop on Disney+, especially if you skipped it at the cinema.
