Earlier this year it was reported that Disney would be making a new live-action movie based on the classic animated movie “Peter Pan” and during the Walt Disney Companies Investor Day event, it was finally confirmed.

Peter Pan & Wendy, is inspired by the Disney animated classic and has David Lowery, who previously directed the latest version of “Pete’s Dragon”.

The story sees a young girl rebel against “growing up” by going with her two brothers to a magical land ruled by an ageless boy obsessed with adventure who is locked in an ongoing battle with a pirate captain.

The cast includes Jude Law as Captain Hook and Yara Shahidi (“black-ish,” “grown-ish”) in the role of Tinker Bell.

The film will premiere on Disney+ and a teaser trailer was released for the film:
