New Casting Details Revealed For “Tiger Lily” In “Peter Pan & Wendy” Live Action Remake
New casting information has revealed more about Tiger Lily’s character in the upcoming live action film “Peter Pan and Wendy” by the DisInsider.
Disney is looking for an Native American/First Nations actress aged between 18 and 25 to play the role, though the character will be 15/16 years old in the movie. The character is also going to have a larger role in the movie than in the original animated Disney version and she will also have a horse sidekick.
Here is a quick breakdown of Tiger Lily:
Tiger Lily is indigenous to Neverland with a bow at her back, she is both a fierce warrior and a serene and benevolent leader who protects Neverland and the lost boys and girls from the dastardly Captain Hook. This character will speak in both English and a native language.
The movie is set to go into production in Canada and filming will be taking place between April and August. “Peter and Wendy” will be directed by David Lowery and written by Toby Halbrooks, who previously worked together on the live action remake of “Pete’s Dragon”. Jim Whitaker and Joe Roth will be producing the film.
It’s unclear if “Peter Pan and Wendy” will be released directly onto Disney+, or if it will be released first in cinemas.
