“Nightmare” Rumored As WandaVision Villain
A new rumor for the upcoming Disney+ Original Marvel series, Wandavision, is suggesting that “Nightmare” could be the main villain for the show.
According to Murphy’s Multiverse , “Nightmare” could also be the main villain for the upcoming movie, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
And with the new WandaVision show being connected to the new Doctor Strange movie, as the Scarlet Witch will be a main character in it and having “Nightmare” in the show would help establish the villain ahead of the movie.
In the comic books, Nightmare rules the Dream Dimension, causing human nightmares and feeding on the psychic energies of dreams. He has corrupted unstable super-beings such as the Hulk and Cloak, each of whom have gone on mad Nightmare-inspired rampages, but his influence usually proves temporary.
The new Disney+ series will see Elizabeth Olsen return as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch and Paul Bettany will also reprise his role as The Vision in the new Marvel Studios series about two super-powered beings living their ideal suburban lives who begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems.
With some scenes being filmed in front of a live studio audience, similar to sitcoms in the 1950’s, which previously released concept art has shown.
WandaVision is due to arrive on Disney+ in spring 2021, with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, coming to cinemas on May 7th.
It’s important to stress that having “Nightmare” as the main villain for the show, should still be treated as a rumor.
