“Ms Marvel” Cinematographer Jules O’Loughlin Joins “Percy Jackson And The Olympians” Disney+ Series
20th Television is currently filming the new Disney+ series, “Percy Jackson And The Olympians”, which tells the fantastical story of a 12-year-old modern demigod, Percy Jackson, who’s just coming to terms with his newfound divine powers when the sky god Zeus accuses him of stealing his master lightning bolt. With help from his friends Grover and Annabeth, Percy must embark on an adventure of a lifetime to find it and restore order to Olympus.
Walker Scobell will be playing the title role of Percy Jackson, with Aryan Simhadri (Disney’s “Spin”) and Leah Sava Jeffries (“Empire”) playing Percy’s friends Grover and Annabeth. The series will also star Virginia Kull, Glynn Turman, Dior Goodjohn, Olivea Morton, Charlie Bushnell, Jason Mantzoukas, Megan Mullally, and Timm Sharp.
Recently, during an interview with Awards Radar, cinematographer Jules O’Loughlin, to promote his work on the new Disney+ series, “Ms Marvel”, Jules confirmed that he has been working on Percy Jackson and the Olympians for 20th century and Disney+. And that he has been working on the new Disney+ series for two months.
Jules O’Loughlin has worked on several projects with Disney, including the new FX series, “The Old Man” and the National Geographic documentary, “Shark Beach with Chris Hemsworth”. In addition to working on Peacock’s “Joe vs. Carole”, “See”, and “Angel Has Fallen”,.
Rick Riordan and Jon Steinberg will serve as writers of the pilot, and James Bobin will direct. Steinberg will oversee the series with his producing partner Dan Shotz. Steinberg and Shotz serve as executive producers alongside Bobin, Riordan, Rebecca Riordan, Bert Salke, Monica Owusu-Breen, Jim Rowe, Anders Engström, Jet Wilkinson and The Gotham Group’s Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, Jeremy Bell and D.J. Goldberg.
