At the San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige announced its plans for the next phases of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which included two new “Avengers” films coming in 2025, which will end the sixth phase of the MCU.

It was recently revealed that Destin Daniel Cretton will be directing “Avengers: Kang Dynasty” and that it will be written by Jeff Loveness.

And Deadline has revealed that Michael Waldron will be writing “Avengers: Secret Wars”, which will arrive in cinemas on November 8th, 2025.

Michael Waldron has previously written Marvel Studios, “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” and the Disney+ series, “Loki”, both of which have a multiverse element that has become the basis of phases four, five and six, which are known as “The Multiverse Saga”. Michael is also the executive producer and showrunner of the “Loki” Disney+ series. He is also working with Kevin Feige on a Star Wars project.

Last month, a number of different writers met with Marvel Studios about the new “Avengers: Secret Wars” film, and Waldron was the front-runner following his previous work with Marvel.

Marvel hasn’t officially announced that Michael Waldron will be writing the film, nor has a director been announced.
