Marvel’s “Ironheart” Disney+ Release Date Announced
Way back at the Disney Investor Day in 2020, Marvel Studios announced it was creating a brand new series for Disney+ called “Ironheart” and is being created by “Black Panther” director Ryan Coogler.
Marvel Television’s “Ironheart” is set after the events of “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” and pits technology against magic when Riri Williams (Dominique Thorne)—a young, genius inventor determined to make her mark on the world—returns to her hometown of Chicago. Her unique take on building iron suits is brilliant, but in pursuit of her ambitions, she finds herself wrapped up with the mysterious yet charming Parker Robbins aka “The Hood” (Anthony Ramos).
“Ironheart” also stars Lyric Ross, Regan Aliyah and Alden Ehrenreich. Chinaka Hodge is head writer and EP; episodes are directed by Sam Bailey and Angela Barnes.
Disney has released a short promo for what’s coming to Disney+ from March over the next year, confirming that the new six-part series will premiere on Disney+ on June 24th 2025 and giving us a first look at the show.
Roger’s Take: This series wrapped filming a while ago, and it’s undergone a number of changes, so hopefully, that additional time will make this series even better. The initial footage does make “Ironheart” look very interesting, especially with her flying through the streets and creating her new suit.
