Marvel Studios announced its schedule for the next few years at a special presentation at Hall H at the San Diego Comic-Con this weekend.  Kevin Feige, president of Marvel Studios and chief creative officer of Marvel, shared details on a variety of new projects coming to cinemas and to Disney+ in the coming years, spanning three different phases of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which will be known as the Multiverse Saga.

Feige didn’t disappoint the enthusiastic crowd, showcasing the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s upcoming slate with trailers, special looks, Q&As with talent and filmmakers, major announcements and a live, show-stopping performance.

Here’s the rundown of the current timeline for the MCU:


Phase 4

  • SHE-HULK: ATTORNEY AT LAW” debuting exclusively on Disney+ on August 17, 2022.
  • BLACK PANTHER: WAKANDA FOREVER opens in theatres on November 11, 2022.
  • “GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY: HOLIDAY SPECIAL”  is coming to Disney+ this holiday season

Phase 5

  •  ANT-MAN AND THE WASP: QUANTUMANIA, opening Feb. 16, 2023
  • “SECRET INVASION” launches on Disney+ in 2023.
  • “GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 3” heads to cinemas on May 4, 2023.
  • “ECHO” is coming to Disney+ in summer 2023
  •  “THE MARVELS,” hits cinemas on July 27, 2023;
  • “LOKI SEASON 2” is coming to Disney+ in summer 2023
  • “BLADE” opens in cinemas in November 2023.
  • “IRONHEART” is coming to Disney+ in Fall 2023
  • “AGATHA: COVEN OF CHAOS” is coming to Disney+ in Winter 2023/24
  • “DAREDEVIL: BORN AGAIN” streams on Disney+ in spring 2024.
  • “CAPTAIN AMERICA: NEW WORLD ORDER” opens in cinemas in May 2024.
  • “THUNDERBOLTS” is slated for cinemas in July 2024.


Phase 6

  • “FANTASTIC FOUR” hits cinemas in November 2024.
  • “AVENGERS: THE KANG DYNASTY” opens in cinemas in May 2025.
  • “AVENGERS: SECRET WARS” is slated for release in November 2025.

Kevin Fiege has also confirmed that another 8 Marvel projects for phase 6 will be revealed at the D23 Expo in September.


Also revealed during the animation panel at San Diego Comic-Con were:

  • “WHAT IF?” Season 2 is coming to Disney+ in Early 2023
  • “X-MEN ’97” is coming to Disney+ in Fall 2023
  • “SPIDER-MAN: FRESHMAN YEAR” will arrive on Disney+ in 2024.
  • “MARVEL ZOMBIES” doesn’t have a Disney+ release date yet

There was also confirmation of a second season of “X-Men” and “Spider-Man”, plus a third season of “What If?.

There is plenty of films and series heading to Disney+ and cinemas over the next few years, and there will be even more revealed at the D23 Expo. Marvel fans certainly have plenty to look forward to.

    What about Werewolf by Night? Tough it hasn't been officially confirmed ( maybe at D23?), wouldn't that be part of Phase 4?
