One of the many new shows being created by Marvel Studios for Disney+ that was announced at the Disney Investor Day in 2019 was “Ironheart”.

This new series stars Dominique Thorne as Riri Williams, a genius inventor who creates the most advanced suit of armor since Iron Man. The character was initially introduced in the movie, “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”.

Filming on “Ironheart” took place a couple of years ago and Disney had even shown off some footage to guests at a Studio Showcase at the D23 Expo event in 2022, but with Marvel drastically slowing down its releases to reduce costs and try to cut back on audiences growing superhero fatigue, the show’s release was bumped back from its initial 2023 release date.

Today, during Disney’s Upfront presentation, it was confirmed that “Ironheart” is going to be released on Disney+ at some point in 2025.

Recently, Disney CEO Bob Iger spoke about how he only wanted to release two Marvel Disney+ series a year and with “Daredevil: Born Again” set to arrive as well in early 2025, it makes sense for Disney to slide “Ironheart” into 2025.

Roger’s POV: It’s a shame “Ironheart” has taken so long to reach our screens, but hopefully this additional time has given them an opportunity to improve the special effects and make any changes to make it as good as possible.
