During Disney’s Upfront event in New York, Marvel Studios confirmed that the next live-action series to be released on Disney+ will be “Agatha All Along”.

The series sees Kathryn Hahn reprising her role of Agatha Harkness, and is also stars Aubrey Plaza, Joe Locke, Patti LuPone, Sasheer Zamata and Ali Ahn. The show will also star Emma Caulfield Ford, Maria Dizzia, Miles Gutierrez-Riley and Okwui Okpokwasili.

No plot details on the upcoming “Agatha” series have been revealed yet.

Ever since the show was initially announced back at Disney+ Day in 2021, the show has gone through multiple name changes, including:

  • Agatha: House Of Harkness
  • Agatha: Coven Of Chaos
  • Agatha: Darkhold Diaries
  • Agatha: The Lying Witch With A Great Wardrobe

Disney has confirmed that the first two episodes of “Agatha All Along” will premiere on Disney+ around the world on September 18th 2024, with a new episode being released each week afterwards.

Roger’s POV:  It’s great to finally have an official name for this show, especially with it going through so many different titles, though I suspect this has been part of the marketing plan for the series to gather further attention.  It’s also great to see the release date confirmed, meaning it arrives just in time for Halloween.
