Tom Hiddleston is set to return to our screens in a new Marvel Studios series featuring Loki for Disney+ and is set to come to Disney+ in 2021.  Filming on the new “Loki” series began earlier this year, however production was put on hold due to the Coronavirus situation, but has now restarted.

According to Production Weekly , filming is scheduled to begin on the second season of “Loki” in January, 2022 and is going by the working title of Architect.   No official details on the second season have yet been announced by Marvel.

The Coronavirus has caused significant delays to the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe, with the entire slate of movies and shows pushed back.  This would also be the first Marvel Disney+ series to get a renewal, as we haven’t yet heard any news on “WandaVision” and “Falcon and the Winter Soldier”.

The new Loki series is set after the events of Avengers: Endgame, which saw Loki escape with the Tesseract after the Avengers went back in time, resulting in a new timeline being created, where the events of Thor: Ragnarok and Infinity War haven’t happened.  It will also star Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sasha Lane, Sophia Di Martino, and Richard E. Grant.

Are you looking forward to seeing the new “Loki” series?
