On December 8th 2022, Disney+ is getting a major change, with Disney+ having two tiers of subscribers as a brand new ad-supported tier will be launching and the current Disney+ subscription, without ads, is going to be called Disney+ Premium and will be going up by $3 a month to $10.99.

Should you want to stay at the same price that you are currently paying, you can move over to an ad-supported tier.   It’s also worth noting that Disney+ isn’t going to be offering an annual subscription for the basic (ad-supported) package

If you want to save money on your Disney+ subscription before the price rise, here are the options available to you.

• If you are a monthly subscriber.  Take out an annual subscription before 7th December 2022 to lock in Disney+ for a year at $79.99.
• If you’re an annual subscriber whose subscription is due to renew before 7th December 2022, make sure you renew as soon as you can.

The new pricing for Disney’s direct-to-consumer streaming services as of December 8 (except where noted) in the U.S. will be as follows:

Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ Standalone Plans:

*Effective as of August 23, 2022 (previously announced)
**Effective as of October 10, 2022

Disney Bundle Plans:
