Disney has announced that the new Korean drama series, “Big Bet”, will be coming to Disney+ around the world and on Hulu in the United States on Wednesday, 21st December 2022.

“Big Bet” tells the unforgettable tale of a man, Cha Moosik, who, after a hard time in life, builds himself up from nothing to become a casino mogul in the Philippines. As the story progresses, Cha once again finds himself at rock bottom when he is investigated as part of a murder case. Determined not to let life beat him down yet again, Cha will risk everything he has, including his own life, to get himself back in the game.

The series stars Choi Min-sik, who hasn’t appeared in a TV series in over 26 years, following a movie career that includes “The Admiral: Roaring Currents”, “Forbidden Dream” and “New World”.  It will also star Sohn Seok-gu, Lee Dong-hwi and Heo Sung-tae.

“Big Bet” has been directed and written by Kang Yoon-seong, who is best known for directing the 2017 film “The Outlaws”.   The series was previously known as “King Of Savvy”.

The first three episodes will debut on Wednesday, 21st December 2022, with new episodes being released weekly afterwards.
