Disney has announced more details for the upcoming Korean Disney+ Original series, “Unmasked”, which will be coming out globally in the second half of 2024.

“Unmasked” is set in modern-day Seoul and follows a team of investigative journalists who are fighting for their careers after broadcasting a controversial story. With time running out, the team are given an impossible task if they want to save their jobs – solving a 20-year-old cold case involving a famous actor who disappeared without a trace.

Disney has announced that Kim Hye Soo, Jung Sung Il and Joo Jong Hyuk are going to star in the show.

Kim Hye Soo is going to play the role of Oh So Ryong, who is the passionate team leader of an investigative reporting program that fiercely pursues cases and incidents that even the prosecution and police cannot solve. Kim Hye Soo has previously starred in “Smugglers”, “Signal” and Under The Queen’s Umbrella”.

Jung Sung Il will be playing a character called Han Do, who is a producing director with no social skills. Jung Sung Il has previously starred in “The Glory”, “Stranger” and “Out Blues”.

And Joo Jong Hyuk is going to play the role of Kang Ki Ho, who is the youngest production director of the team. Joo Jong Hyuk has previously starred in “Dr Romantic” and “Happiness”.
