Korean Disney+ Original “Tempest” Cast Revealed
Disney has announced new casting details on the upcoming Korean Original series, “The Tempest”, which follows the story of Moon Ju, a diplomat who has built an international reputation as a former ambassador to the United States, as she chases after the truth hidden behind an immense case along with San Ho, a special agent of an unknown nationality.
The series will star Jun Ji Hyun and Kang Dong Won, along with Kim Hae Sook, Lee Mi Sook, Yoo Jae Myung, Park Hae Joon, Oh Jung Se, Lee Sang Hee, Joo Jong Hyuk, Won Ji An, and John Cho.
Also starring in the series is Michael Gaston (Spenser Confidential) as the Secretary of Defense; Spencer Garrett (Air Force One) as US President Hauser; Christopher Gorham (The Lincoln Lawyer) as a military contractor, as well as Joel De La Fuente (The Man In The High Castle); Alicia Hannah-Kim (Cobra Kai), Brooke Smith (Silence of the Lambs); Jacob Bertrand (Cobra Kai); Romy Rosemont (Barry); Tom Lenk (American Horror Stories) and more.
Jun Ji Hyun is going to be playing the role of Moon Ju, who has gained great trust in the international community through her insightful judgement and actions. Kang Dong Won will be taking on the role of the mysterious San Ho, a former top-tier international mercenary whose nationality and past are all hidden behind a veil.
While Park Hae Joon will play the role of Moon Ju’s husband Joon Ik. Joon Sang, who is Joon Ik’s younger brother, will be portrayed by Oh Jung Se. Lee Sang Hee will play Moon Ju’s longtime aide Yeo Mi Ji, and Joo Jong Hyuk will be playing Joon Ik’s aide Park Chang Hee. Won Ji Ahn will play the mysterious Kang Han Na, who knows Joon Ik’s secret.
Production is currently underway in Seoul, and “Tempest” will be released in 2025 on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ in the United States and on Disney+ internationally.
