The third season of ABC’s “Abbott Elementary” is set to return to our screens in February, with a shorter season due to the actors and writer’s strike.

The series is a workplace comedy about a group of dedicated, passionate teachers – and a slightly tone-deaf principal – who are brought together in a Philadelphia public school where, despite the odds stacked against them, they are determined to help their students succeed in life. Though these incredible public servants may be outnumbered and underfunded, they love what they do – even if they don’t love the school district’s less-than-stellar attitude toward educating children.

Quinta Brunson created and stars as Janine Teagues, and she serves as executive producer of the series alongside Justin Halpern and Patrick Schumacker of Delicious Non-Sequitur Productions, and Randall Einhorn. In addition to Brunson, the cast includes Tyler James Williams as Gregory Eddie, Janelle James as Ava Coleman, Lisa Ann Walter as Melissa Schemmenti, Chris Perfetti as Jacob Hill, William Stanford Davis as Mr. Johnson, and Emmy(R) Award winner Sheryl Lee Ralph as Barbara Howard.

According to Deadline, Josh Segarra (The Big Door Prize), Kimia Behpoornia (Hacks) and Benjamin Norris (Never Have I Ever) have been cast in recurring roles as good-natured Philadelphia school district representatives who aim to bring fresh perspectives to their roles as school ambassadors.

Josh Segarra will play the role of Manny,  with Kimia Behpoornia playing Emily, and Benjamin Norris will portray Simon. The trio is made up of good-natured Philadelphia school district representatives who aim to bring fresh perspectives to their roles as school ambassadors.

The first two seasons of “Abbott Elementary” are available to stream now on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ in the United States, on Star+ in Latin America and on Disney+ around the world.

“Abbott Elementary” returns on Wednesday, 7th February 2024, at 9 pm on ABC and the next day on Hulu/Hulu On Disney+.  No international release details have been announced for the third season.
