Jessica Jones Rumored To Appear In New She-Hulk Disney+ Series
It’s been almost two years since the Marvel series “Jessica Jones” was cancelled by Netflix as Marvel started prepping its studios to make their own shows for Disney+. There was a clause in the Netflix contract that stated that Disney couldn’t use any of the Defenders characters including Daredevil, Iron Fist, Luke Cage, The Punisher and Jessica Jones, for two years after those shows were cancelled.
This led many to believe that the “Netflix” Marvel shows were done and that the actors wouldn’t be returning to their roles.
However, recently it was reported that Matt Murdock would be appearing in the new “She-Hulk” Disney+ series, with Charlie Cox returning to play the character.
And now, DanielRPK is reporting that Krysten Ritter will also be coming back to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Jessica Jones in the upcoming Disney+ series, “She-Hulk”.
Many thought we wouldn’t see Krysten return to “Jessica Jones” as back in 2019, she told TVLine in 2019.
“Do I think I’ll play her again? I don’t think so. I feel like I’ve played her, you know? I feel really good about it. I feel good about closing the door.”
During this weekends “WandaVision” virtual press event, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige was asked about a revival of the Netflix characters, which he said ‘I’ve been at Marvel long enough to never say never about anything.”‘
“She-Hulk”, is a new comedy series coming to Disney+ and stars Tatiana Maslany as She-Hulk/Jennifer Walters, a lawyer who specializes in superhuman-oriented legal cases. She-Hulk will welcome a host of Marvel characters to the series, including the Hulk, played by Mark Ruffalo, and the Abomination, played by Tim Roth. Kat Coiro and Anu Valia direct the series; Jessica Gao is head writer.
