Jennings Brown Signs First Look Deal With Hulu
Disney’s Hulu has signed a brand new first-look deal with Jennings Brown, the founder of production company Nocturne and a documentary producer, podcaster, and journalist.
Previously, Jenning worked on a podcast called “The Gateway: Teal Swan,” which was adapted into the docuseries “The Deep End,” which was released on Freeform in 2022.
He has also worked on the “Revelations” podcast, which followed his three years of reporting on sex abuse and trafficking within the Fellowship of Friends, an elite spiritual group that infiltrated Google. He also worked as a senior reporter at Gizmodo, where he covered cybersecurity, AI, Big Tech, politics, and national security. He also worked as an editor at Esquire.
Jennings took to social media to confirm the news of his new overall deal, where he said:
BIG NEWS Y’ALL! I’ve signed a first-look deal with Hulu.
Four years ago I quit my full-time reporting job so I could focus on producing podcasts and documentaries on the strange-but-consequential topics that I have always been drawn to—the kind of stories that were becoming increasingly difficult to investigate within the death-spiraling journalism industry.
It’s been a wild and uncertain ride but I feel very lucky that I’ve been able to keep doing work I love to do. I’ve got a lot of exciting projects in the works. Stay tuned!
According to Deadline, Jennings is currently working on an unknown project with HyperObject Industries for Hulu.
