Recently, it was revealed that FX was developing a brand new limited series called “Dying For Sex”, which is based on the hit Wondery podcast, “Dying For Sex” is the story of a woman diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer, which leaves her husband of 15 years and begins to explore her sexuality. She gets the courage and support to go on this adventure from her best friend, Nikki, who stays by her side all the way to the very end.

The new series is going to star Michelle Williams, who will play the lead role, and she will also be a producer on the FX show. It will also star Jenny Slate, Rob Delaney, David Rasche, and Esco Jouléy.  Variety has revealed that Jay Duplass and Kelvin Yu have joined the cast.

Jay Duplass will play the role of Molly’s husband, Steve. Jay has previously starred in “Baghead” and the Disney+ Original series, “Percy Jackson And The Olympians”.

Kelvin Yu will be playing the role of Noah, who is “a talented musician with genuinely earnest, big feelings about his girlfriend Nikki that he isn’t shy about sharing.” Kelvin has previously starred in the Disney+ Original series, “American Born Chinese,” and 20th Century Studios, “Bob’s Burgers”.

This brand-new series will be created by Liz Meriwether (The Dropout) and Kim Rosenstock (Only Murders in the Building), who will write, run the show, and executive produce it. Other executive producers include Leslye Headland (Acolyte), Katherine Pope, and Nikki Boyer, who is the host and co-creator of the Dying For Sex podcast and Wondery Inc.

As with other FX series, expect this series to be released on FX, along with Disney’s streaming services, Hulu and Disney+ around the world.
