Following on from the success of “Pirates Of The Caribbean” and “Jungle Cruise”, Disney is once again taking inspiration from its classic theme park attractions, with a new version of “The Haunted Mansion”

The new film is going to feature a huge ensemble cast that includes LaKeith Stanfield “Knives Out,” Tiffany Haddish “Bad Trip,” Owen Wilson “Loki,” Danny DeVito “Jumanji: The Next Level,” Rosario Dawson “The Mandalorian” and Chase Dillon “The Underground Railroad.”

In this mysterious adventure, a doctor (Dawson) and her 9-year-old son (Dillon), looking to start a new life, move into a strangely affordable mansion in New Orleans, only to discover that the place is much more than they bargained for. Desperate for help, they contact a priest (Wilson), who, in turn, enlists the aid of a widowed scientist-turned failed-paranormal expert (Stanfield), a French Quarter psychic (Haddish) and a crotchety historian (DeVito).

Recently, One Take News, revealed that Jamie Lee Curtis has joined that cast and will play the role of Madame Leota, who is a well-known iconic character that is a ghost encased in a crystal ball.

The actress took to social media to fuel rumours of her appearing in the new film, with a simple emoji of a Mystic Ball and sharing a recent report from the DisInsider, teasing her appearance in the movie.

Jamie Lee Curtis has previously starred in many Disney films, including “Freaky Friday” and “Beverly Hills Chihuahua“, along with the “Halloween” franchise.

Disney has previously released a live-action film based on the attraction before, and Jennifer Tilly played the role of  Madame Leota.  The original movie is available on Disney+ and most recently, “The Muppets” took a trip to the Haunted Mansion for a Disney+ special.

“The Haunted Mansion” is being directed by Justin Simien “Bad Hair,” “Dear White People” and produced by Dan Lin and Jonathan Eirich “Aladdin.” Nick Reynolds “Easter Sunday” and Tom Peitzman “The Lion King” are the executive producers.

“Haunted Mansion will be released in theatres on March 10th 2023, and will arrive on Disney+ later.
