When Is “Paddington In Peru” Released?
“Paddington In Peru” will be released exclusively in cinemas in the United States and Canada on January 17th, 2025. The film will be released in cinemas in the UK on November 8th 2024 and on January 1st 2025 in Australia.
When Will “Paddington In Peru” Be On Disney+?
Unfortunately, “Paddington In Peru” wasn’t created by one of Disney’s Studios. It was actually created by StudioCanal, which has the rights to distribute the film in the United Kingdom and France. However, Sony Pictures has the distribution rights for the movie for the rest of the world.
Because of Sony’s involvement, Disney+ subscribers in the United States will eventually be able to watch the film on Hulu and Disney+, but it won’t be for two years. This is because Disney has a Pay 2 Window deal in place for Sony’s films released between 2022 and 2026, while Netflix has the Pay 1 Window deal after the theatrical release.
This means that “Paddington In Peru” should be heading to Disney+ in the United States in early 2027.
However, in the United Kingdom, Disney often licenses older titles from StudioCanal to help with its European content quota. The last two “Paddington” films were previously available on Disney+ in the UK for a limited time, but they’ve since been removed as the license expired.
Internationally, things are a little clearer, “Paddington In Peru” won’t be coming to Disney+.
