Iman Vellani Attends Special Screening Of “The Marvels”
Just ahead of today’s release of the new Marvel Studio’s film, “The Marvel”, in cinemas, Disney held a special screening of the movie at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood and surprised guests with a special appearance from Iman Vellani, who plays Ms. Marvel in the movie and Disney+ series. With the actor’s strike now over, the actors are allowed to promote their latest releases. Also appearing at the event were the film’s director, Nia DaCosta and composer Laura Karpman. The trio introduced the film and then later sat backstage for an interview. Ms Marvel’s costume was also on display at the event.
In Marvel Studios’ “The Marvels,” Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel has reclaimed her identity from the tyrannical Kree and taken revenge on the Supreme Intelligence. But unintended consequences see Carol shouldering the burden of a destabilized universe. When her duties send her to an anomalous wormhole linked to a Kree revolutionary, her powers become entangled with that of Jersey City super-fan Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel, and Carol’s estranged niece, now S.A.B.E.R. astronaut Captain Monica Rambeau. Together, this unlikely trio must team up and learn to work in concert to save the universe as “The Marvels.”
